“No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.” - Brene Brown

Therapy for Adults

Through personal and professional experience, I have come to understand the importance of creating a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and emotions. As a therapist, I strongly believe that the client is the expert of their life, and I am honoured to help guide them.

When working with adults, I value the importance of collaborative goal-setting with the client. Doing so will help us lay the foundation so that we can make the most of every session together. I have training and expertise in supporting clients who are experiencing anxietystressdepressiongrief and losslife transitions, and women's wellness. I also support clients who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual violence. In my practice, I primarily work from an attachment-based trauma-focused lens and utilize various evidence- based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)Attachment-Based Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing.

A Bit About Me

I was born in Halifax, NS, however I spent most of my youth in a small town in the UK. I moved to Alberta after I graduated from the University of Liverpool. I have personal experience of trying to fit in to “two different worlds”. This experience has made me passionate to learn about different cultures and to support clients who are experiencing significant life changes/transitions. When not working, I love walking in the river valley with my dogs and husband, soaking in the peaceful scenery and fresh air. I also enjoy spending quality time with friends, whether we’re catching up over coffee or sharing a laugh. Going to the gym is another way I recharge, and I often find motivation and inspiration while listening to my favourite podcasts or music.
