Meet Puneet Sanghera
B.A., MASTERS LEVEL COUNSELLING INTERN THERAPIST, EMDR Therapist
Welcome! I’m Puneet and I am a Master’s Level Counselling Intern Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta and currently am completing my Master’s of Counseling through City University of Seattle (Edmonton campus).
I work with children, teens, and adults, providing a supportive space to explore challenges and build resilience. I aim to meet each person where they are, using creative and evidence-based strategies to help them develop coping skills, navigate change, and achieve personal growth. My approach is flexible and collaborative, ensuring therapy feels meaningful and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Clinical Overview
Therapy for Children, Teens & Parents
I’m grateful to serve as a compassionate soundboard for young clients, helping them safely express feelings and identify emotions. In sessions with children and adolescents, I create an engaging, collaborative space—drawing on Art, Sandtray, and Play-Based methods alongside targeted strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy My goal is to make therapy meaningful and accessible, fostering early breakthroughs and equipping young people with practical coping skills they can use every day.
Therapy for Adults
I specialize in supporting adults through anxiety disorders, stress management, depression, and trauma/PTSD. Grounded in a humanistic approach, I meet you where you are and co-create a personalized therapeutic plan that fits your needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Narrative Therapy — to build a strong therapeutic alliance, encourage personal growth, and provide the practical tools you need to achieve your goals.
