Meet Haley Burchett
M.A.C.P., B.A., Registered Provisional Psychologist, EMDR Therapist
Hello! My name is Haley Burchett and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. My education includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from MacEwan University.
I provide therapy to children, teens, adults, and parents, supporting a wide range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, behavioural challenges, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, and family or interpersonal difficulties. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs, creating a safe and supportive environment to explore challenges, develop coping skills, and foster personal growth.
Clinical Overview
Therapy for Children, Teens & Parents
I’m passionate about supporting children and adolescents as they navigate life’s unique challenges. I draw on engaging, developmentally appropriate methods—such as Play-Based Therapy, Art Therapy, positive psychology, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)—to help children and teens feel safe, heard, and empowered. Whether they’re facing anxiety or worry, depression, emotional dysregulation, Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), osttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or self-harm ideation, I tailor each session to their individual strengths and needs, fostering resilience and healthy coping skills in a warm, nonjudgmental space.
Therapy for Adults
Adults often seek support for issues like stress and burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, ADHD, trauma, or managing suicidal thoughts. Guided by empathy, respect, curiosity, and patience, I use a client-centered, integrative approach—selecting from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Together, we’ll set meaningful goals, explore the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of your wellbeing, and develop personalized strategies that fit your life. You don’t have to face these challenges alone—I’m here to collaborate with you every step of the way.
