I have been working in the mental health industry for over a decade with children, teens, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, addiction, ADHD, life transitions, boundaries, trauma-related symptoms and other mental health concerns. Supporting parents and guardians with effective parenting strategies is a passion of mine. I also enjoy working with professionals and businesses in the realm of coping with work-related stressors, preparing to return to work and acquiring work/life balance.
I believe in utilizing an integrative approach to therapy as everyone’s life story is different. I have been a Psychologist for over 10 years in a variety of settings, including schools, community mental health clinics, private practice, and tertiary day treatment programs. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD and Learning Disorders), behaviour concerns in children, parenting support, and relationship difficulties. I also provide psychological assessments (e.g., psychoeducational assessments, ADHD assessments, mental health diagnostic assessments).
I have training in a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.
In addition to my clinical work, I provide training and supervision for doctoral students, psychiatry residents, and Provisional Psychologists. I am an adjunct professor at the University of Alberta with both the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Educational Psychology. I currently also work with Edmonton Public Schools.

I use a collaborative and client-centered approach. I like to provide a safe place for individuals to explore, observe and gain insight for their own healing and growth. In my eyes, the client is the expert; my role is to help the client identify their own unique strengths and resources, in a non-judgmental manner. My interest in research stemmed from my time as an international Baccalaureate student. I am thus eager to be conducting an individual research study at the Group Processes and Leadership Lab.
