My practice is grounded in respect, integrity, and genuine care for my clients. I have been working in the mental health industry for over a decade with childrenteens, and adults who are struggling with anxiety/worry, stress, depression, emotional regulation, addiction, ADHD, life transitions, boundaries, trauma-related symptoms and other mental health concerns. Supporting parents and guardians with effective parenting strategies is a passion of mine. I also enjoy working with professionals and businesses in the realm of coping with work-related stressors, preparing to return to work and acquiring work/life balance.

I believe in utilizing an integrative approach to therapy as everyone’s life story is different. We will work together to develop effective goals to work towards and I will draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), among others. I strive to help people achieve overall life balance in all 8 aspects of well-being.

In addition to therapy, I provide clinical supervision to Counselling Interns and Mental Health Therapists within the community.

I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I also have a background in Occupational Therapy and have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years.

I provide therapy for adolescents and adults and work with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation, work-related issues, and interpersonal issues. My preferred therapeutic theory is person-centered and I value a collaborative working relationship with my clients. I provide a safe and non-judgmental place for my clients to identify their personal strengths and resources to assist in their journey towards healing and growth. I am skilled in helping clients learn new coping skills, deal more effectivity with difficult emotions and change unwanted behaviours. 

I incorporate different therapeutic modalities in my practice including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and self-compassion.

I specialize in helping teens and adults cope with anxiety, depression, and life changes. I also enjoy helping individuals achieve higher self-esteem and  confidence as well as greater overall well-being, allowing you to reach your life goals. I primarily help clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder and other addictions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I am also interested in helping clients learn to cope with challenges involving grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship conflicts, body image, stress, and anger.

I am passionate about psychology and the healthcare field as I strongly believe in using my education to help others. Mental and physical health are such interconnected fields, and I believe that both must be addressed to help maintain overall health and well being.

I believe psychology is a great thing many people can benefit from for different reasons, and I would love to play a part in that. After I complete my undergrad, I hope to attend graduate school, get my Master’s, and become a Registered Psychologist.

I enjoy playing with my cat Lebron, hanging out with my nieces, and going to the gym in my spare time!

Hi! My name is Eman Rauf, and I’m currently in the final year of my Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Psychology at the University of Alberta. I’ve been passionate about this field from a young age, driven by a desire to understand how people think and how our relationships with ourselves and others can impact mental health. I aim to become a Registered Psychologist, helping people build healthier connections and navigate life’s challenges. I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, and two cats in my free time. I also love to travel; I recently went to Italy, but my all-time favourite destination so far has been Turkey. In addition to my academic studies, I volunteer here at Solace Psychology & Wellness, where I gain practical experience and contribute to the community.
