Meet Kristopher Anderson
M.Ed., B.A., Registered Provisional Psychologist
I’m Kristopher, a therapist who believes meaningful change happens through genuine connection and collaboration. I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology Degree from the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology Degree from the University of Alberta. My approach is humanistic and person-centered, grounded in warmth and authenticity, while integrating evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EFT. I work primarily with adolescents (13–17) and adults, with a particular interest in men’s mental health, identity, and self-worth. I also support first responders with trauma processing/PTSD, burnout, stress management, life balance, and navigating grief and loss.
Clinical Overview
Therapy for Teens
I work with teens experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation challenges. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) within a supportive, relational environment. I aim to help teens develop self-awareness, confidence, and effective coping skills as they navigate the challenges of growing up.
Therapy for Adults
I support adults dealing with anxiety, depression, borderline personality features, addiction, loneliness, suicidality, hopelessness, and challenges with self-worth. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EFT within a strengths-based, solution-focused, and humanistic framework. My goal is to help clients understand their experiences, cultivate resilience, and make choices that align with their ideals.
Therapy for First Responders
First responders carry a unique weight. Exposure to trauma, chronic stress, high-stakes decision-making, and the pressure to stay strong for others can take a toll—often quietly. In my work with first responders, I provide a confidential, grounded, and non-judgmental space where you don’t have to explain the culture or minimize your experiences.
I use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches tailored to the realities of frontline work, supporting concerns such as operational stress injuries, PTSD, burnout, anxiety, relationship strain, sleep disruption, and cumulative trauma. Therapy is collaborative, practical, and paced to meet you where you are—whether you’re in crisis, transitioning roles, or simply feeling worn down.
My goal is to help first responders build resilience, process difficult experiences, and regain a sense of control, clarity, and connection—both on and off the job.

A Bit About Me
I greatly value spending time with loved ones, whether that be my girlfriend, my family, my friends, or my three cats. I enjoy long walks and biking in the summer, and even though I’m quite bad at it, I absolutely love snowboarding in the winter. I love reading, both fiction (typically fantasy) and non-fiction. To unwind, I enjoy playing video games (both for fun and competitively), learning the piano, or watching a good TV show. I try to bring the same authenticity, curiosity and balance that I value in life into my work with clients.
