Meet Rima Malak
M.A.C.P., m.p.h, B.Sc., MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
Hi, I’m Rima Malak, a Mental Health Therapist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and a Master of Public Health. With over 11 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, I bring a holistic perspective to mental health, recognizing the strong connection between mind, body, and overall well-being. I work with couples and individual adults, and I value a collaborative, supportive approach to therapy. Together, we work toward meaningful goals that align with your values, needs, and lives experience.
Clinical Overview
Therapy for Adults
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and grief/loss. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT).
Therapy for Couples
I work with couples experiencing emotional disconnection, infidelity, conflict, and communication challenges. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) integrated with the Gottman Method, I help couples strengthen emotional bonds, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of navigating conflict.
